Radio Caledon Inc. has received official

notification from the CRTC that we have been approved for a new format to replace the pre-recorded tourist information format currently running on 102.7FM - a low power station that has been on the air-waves since late 2007.

This new station will offer a broad music format that would include the following genres: pop, rock, jazz, easy listening and country. 

ALSO WE ARE VERY HAPPY TO ANNOUNCE THAT ALL ROCK & STONE SPORTS SHOWS WILL BE SIMULCAST LIVE ON BOTH THE B105.5FM & NEW102.7FM

APRIL 2008 - Hi, my name is Jade Scognamillo. I live in Caledon East and I am a grade 9 student at The Country Day School in King City. As a competitive swimmer with Vaughan Aquatic Club in Woodbridge, I have decided to use my love of swimming to make a difference by supporting a great charity, SickKids.

NOVEMBER 2008 - Jade has decided to 'finish the job' for SickKids by attempting a 52 km crossing of Lake Ontario some time between July 24th-27th 2009 to increase the existing fundraising to the target of $30 000 to purchase an infant incubator. Jade will start at Niagara-on-the-Lake and finish at Marilyn Bell Park in Toronto around 20-24 hours later. This is a test of extreme physical and mental endurance on a notoriously difficult crossing. If successful, Jade will become the youngest person to complete the crossing along that route. Check out the tabs to the left of this website to see how to make a donation, become a corporate sponsor, or to volunteer crew/equipment for this event. Media coverage is again expected to be high through various press, radio, and TV outlets. JADE NEEDS YOUR HELP TO ACHIEVE THIS GOAL !

Rick Hampton (born July 14, 1956 in Toronto, Ontario) is a retired NHL defenseman. Hampton started his National Hockey League career with the Oakland Seals in 1974. He also played for the Cleveland Barons and Los Angeles Kings. He left the NHL after the 1980 season. He played several more seasons in the minor leagues and retired from hockey after playing the 1984 season with the Rochester Americans.  Rick now works in hockey still managing arena's in King Township and has developed a few interesting hockey products....tune in as we talk about Rick's career and about life after hockey in the early 80's....it will be a great show...don't miss it ! !
